Grant Gustin on THE GLEE PROJECT…Interesting

I just received a press release announcing that Grant Gustin will be a guest mentor on THE GLEE PROJECT on Tuesday, July 17th.

Interesting.

Although nothing is confirmed, and this is pure speculation on my part, it seems pretty likely that Grant will be back on GLEE next season.  Why would Ryan Murphy & Co invite someone on TGP that guest starred on GLEE last season unless they planned on bringing him back?

Interesting.

In the meantime, I’m hugging Klaine as tightly as I can before they are ripped violently from my bosom.

update: excellent points made in the comments to this post.

Grant Rant - One Smart Cookie

Quick random Gran Gustin rant…

Yes, I’m a TV blogger, but I make my living as a social media strategist. And as someone that spends most of her time thinking about social media, I have to really applaud Grant Gustin on his Twitter efforts.

First off, I actually have no doubt that the guy is being sincere and well-meaning with his interactions with fans, but regardless of his intentions, it’s a smart move. He’s being introduced to the GLEE fandom as a villain. Someone who has the potential to rock the delicate balance of Kurt and Blaine’s relationship. Let’s be honest, we know how the GLEE fandom and the tendency to overreact. I like how the guy is winning over the fandom and making “nice”. It’s going to be hard to hate his character if they love the guy behind Sebastian.

I Feel Like I’ve Betrayed Kurt

Grant just RT’d me. I’m sorry, Kurt! I didn’t mean to fraternize with the enemy!  HA!

Back in real life…I’m really excited for the talent GLEE is bringing to the show this year.  My beloved Tufts Bubs might have been the real voices behind The Warblers last season, but we all know the TV-Warblers are talented guys on their own. As much as I would love to hear some classic Warblers acapella tunes, it would be great to hear the voices of the guys on the show, too.

I’m really hoping the rumors I’ve heard about the Warblers and West Side Story are true. I guess time will tell.  But as I said in my tweet, having two former actors from the stage version of West Side Story is very convenient.
